We go above and beyond what traditional kennels and boarding facilities offer, prioritizing alternative care and personalized attention to ensure that each pet receives the care they need to thrive. We are committed to building lasting relationships with our clients through exceptional communication, reliability, and trust.
As members of the Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce, we are committed to building strong partnerships in the community and supporting local businesses. Also, in an effort to protect the residents of Bryan County, we are working with the local government to regulate and update laws that include pet sitting services and in-home boarding facilities.
We are Pet First Aid and CPR Certified and proud members of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters.
Sarah McKinney, the founder and CEO of Mulberry Family Pet Sitters, LLC, has always had a deep love for animals. Living in Missouri, she owned a hobby farm where she cared for goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, and ducks. As a side hobby, she also bred and sold her own chickens and eggs. In fact, some of her eggs sold for as much as $120 per carton!
After moving to Georgia, Sarah decided to make some extra money on the side. As she looked around for opportunities, she quickly realized that there was a huge need for professionally licensed and trained pet sitters in the area. Many pet owners were reluctant to leave their pets in traditional kennels and boarding facilities, where their pets often received limited attention and care. Sarah saw an opportunity to provide a better solution.
In 2022, Sarah opened Mulberry Family Pet Sitters, LLC, with the goal of providing exceptional care for pets that went beyond what traditional facilities offered. She brought her extensive experience caring for animals to her new business, and quickly established a reputation for providing reliable, trustworthy, and personalized pet care services. She not only became certified in pet first aid and CPR, but also became certified to teach it.
Today, Sarah is dedicated to professionalizing the profession of in-home pet care. Besides managing her team, she has currently been selected as the Destination Liaison for the 2024 National Association of Professional Pet Sitters Convention and Expo.
